User Data Deletion Instructions

This page explains how to request deletion of EngageApp-related personal data. Use it for account closure, Meta / WhatsApp platform reviews, and similar compliance needs.

1. If you have an EngageApp account (merchant / workspace)

Full account closure (required path). Send a deletion request from the email address on your EngageApp account to [email protected] with subject line EngageApp data deletion request, and include:

• Your account email
• Workspace / company name
• Whether you want (a) full account closure and deletion, or (b) deletion of specific contacts / data only

We will verify you control the account before deleting. EngageApp does not currently offer a one-click “delete my account” control in the product UI.

In product (partial cleanup). Sign in at https://engageapp.xyz/login and, where those controls exist, remove contacts, disconnect integrations, and revoke API keys. That does not by itself close the account or delete all retained records.

2. If you are an end customer of a business that uses EngageApp

EngageApp stores contact and event data on behalf of the merchant. Prefer contacting that business first (the brand that messaged you).

You may also email [email protected] with:

• Your email and/or phone number as used with that brand
• The brand or website name if you know it
• A clear request to delete your personal data from EngageApp

We may need to confirm identity and coordinate with the merchant who controls the workspace.

3. What we delete

When a verified deletion request is completed, we delete or irreversibly anonymize personal data we hold for that account or person, including contact profiles and associated event/message history where feasible, subject to Section 4.

Integration credentials for a closed workspace are revoked or deleted.

4. What we may retain

We may retain limited records when required for:

• Legal, tax, or accounting obligations
• Fraud prevention and security logs
• Resolving disputes or enforcing our Terms

Retained data is restricted and kept only as long as needed.

5. Timing

We aim to confirm receipt within 7 days and complete verified deletions within 30 days, unless a longer period is required by law or technical constraints (we will say so).
